Lutherville, Md. – The 105th Maryland Open is set to take place July 13-15 at Argyle Country Club in Silver Spring, Md.

The championship field consists of 120 players and was primarily determined through four 18-hole qualifying rounds held at Beaver Creek Country Club, Pine Ridge Golf Course, Montgomery Country Club, and the River Course at Queenstown Harbor.

All 120 players will compete over 36 holes of stroke play during the first two rounds. Following the second round, the field will be cut to the low 40 players and ties for Wednesday’s championship round.

Taylor Babcock, PGA, Head Golf Professional at Mount Vernon Country Club, is set to become the first woman to compete in the Maryland Open. Babcock earned her place in the championship field after she qualified for the 2026 PGA Professional Championship and will make history when play begins Monday at Argyle Country Club.

Qualifying Rundown

A total of four qualifiers were held across the state at Beaver Creek Country Club, Pine Ridge Golf Course, Montgomery Country Club, and Queenstown Harbor (River Course) to decide the final field.

Beaver Creek Country Club (Par 72, 6823 yards)

Fourteen players advanced through the opening qualifier at Beaver Creek Country Club. Medalist honors were shared by Chris Navarro (a) of Beaver Creek Country Club, Noah Wallace (a) of Chesapeake Bay Golf Club, David Kim (a) of Youth on Course Maryland, and Derek Gillespie of Oshawa Golf. The four competitors each carded a one-under-par 71 to earn their place at Argyle Country Club.

Pine Ridge Golf Course (Par 71, 6730 yards)

Sixteen players secured their spots through the Pine Ridge qualifier. Jack Halleron (a) of Baltimore Country Club earned medalist honors after recording eight birdies en route to a six-under-par 65. Sean English, PGA, of Elkridge Club was the only other player to finish under par, posting a one-under-par 70 with four birdies.

Montgomery Country Club (Par 71, 6633 yards)

Eighteen players qualified at Montgomery Country Club in one of the most competitive qualifying sites. Charles Young of the MSGA eClub, Gregory Pieczynski, PGA, of George Mason University, and Colin St. Maxens (a) of Columbia Country Club shared medalist honors after each posted a one-under-par 70. Nine players finished within two strokes of the lead.

River Course at Queenstown Harbor (Par 72, 6825 yards)

Rainy conditions greeted players at the final qualifying site, where 18 competitors earned their spots in the championship field. It was another crowded leaderboard at the top with three players sharing medalist honors. 105th Maryland Amateur Champion Kyle Gebhart (a) of Manor Country Club, Matt Carpentier (a) of the MSGA eClub, and Tyler McElroy, PGA, of Burning Tree Club each finished their qualifying rounds at three-under-par 69 to claim their spots in the 105th Maryland Open.
