The Maryland State Golf Association (MSGA) is proud to introduce its Tiered Giving Program. The new giving program is designed to expand our community engagement and provide opportunities for supporters to contribute to the growth and accessibility of golf in Maryland and the District of Columbia. This program offers a range of giving levels, each named to honor the rich history and legacy of the MSGA, from its founding in 1921 to the individuals and institutions that have shaped the sport in our state. As the MSGA has expanded its scope with new initiatives to support golf in Maryland, and especially youth golf, the need for financial support from MSGA members is growing and will continue to grow.
The Maryland State Golf Association supports the following programs and initiatives in its pursuit of enhancing and improving the game of golf in the State of Maryland:
- The MSGA has partnered with Youth on Course (YOC) to provide life-changing opportunities through golf to youth ages 6-18 in Maryland. Since its launch in 2018 with just over 500 members, the Youth on Course – Maryland program has experienced remarkable growth, expanding to over 6,000 members and 25 partnered facilities in 2025. Learn more about Youth on Course Here.
- The MSGA provides financial assistance to junior golfers in Maryland who aspire to compete at the Maryland, regional, and national level, but face financial constraints. Learn more about our Grant Program Here.
- The Maryland State Golf Association is excited to announce the launch of its first state junior golf team, Team Maryland. The new State Team will also include Washington, D.C. We are pleased to introduce Bob Dolan, PGA, Professional Emeritus at Columbia Country Club, who will serve as the inaugural coach of Team Maryland. This initiative aims to expand and diversify the pathway for elite local junior golfers by providing critical development, competitive play, and talent identification opportunities through the U.S. National Development Program (USNDP), an initiative of the United States Golf Association. The Board of Directors of the MSGA encourages all golfers in the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia to partner with us in supporting these worthy causes.

“The staff had a great time getting the course and facility ready for the event, and we’ve heard nothing but great things about the club and course conditions. I also wanted to thank/congratulate you and your committee on setting up and arranging a great tournament at our facility. We look forward to working with you guys again in the near future, and thanks again for allowing us to host such a great event!”
