Lutherville, Md. – Potomac native Zoe Cusack qualified for the 81st U.S. Women’s Open after a standout performance at a 36-hole qualifier on Tuesday, April 28. The qualifier was held at Meadowbrook Country Club in Ballwin, Mo., and was administered by the Metropolitan Amateur Golf Association.

Competing in a field of 78 players, Cusack delivered back-to-back under-par rounds to earn co-medalist and co-low amateur honors alongside Addie Dobson of Jacksonville, Ill. The duo finished at 5-under-par 139 to secure the two available qualifying spots.

Cusack opened her day in a four-way tie for fourth after the first round. Her front nine included a lone bogey on the sixth hole, but she recovered on the back nine with birdies on holes 14 and 18 to climb the leaderboard.

She carried that momentum into her second round with a more aggressive start, carding birdies on holes four and five. Cusack remained steady down the stretch, tallying another pair of birdies on holes 12 and 15, and posting a bogey-free round. She finished at 4-under-par 68 for her second round, the second-lowest second-round score behind a 5-under-par 67 by Narin An from Yongin-Si, Republic of Korea.

Cusack adds to her impressive resume as one of the region’s top junior golfers with this qualification. Cusack is a two-time Maryland Girls’ Junior Amateur champion and is also part of the 2026 U.S. National Junior Team.

She will compete in the 81st U.S. Women’s Open, scheduled for June 4-7 at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif. More information on the 81st U.S. Women’s Open can be found on the tournament information page.
