The Maryland State Golf Association-Women’s Division will conduct the 19th Maryland Women’s Open Championship Monday October 8th and Tuesday October 9th at Bulle Rock Golf Course in Havre de Grace. The course will play 5,958 yards to a par 72. The format is 36 holes of stroke play, with no cut. The Champion will have her name engraved on the permanent trophy and the low amateur will have her name engraved on the Campbell Cup.
Bulle Rock was designed in 1998 by the legendary Pete Dye. Bulle Rock has long been considered the region’s best player’s course and the top ranking public course in Maryland. Zagat readers have also ranked Bulle Rock among the nation’s Top 50 golf courses. Bulle Rock is proud to have played host to one of the LPGA Tour’s major championships, the McDonald’s LPGA Championship. Named after the first thoroughbred racehorse brought to America, the name Bulle Rock truly signifies the strength of these 235 acres of “golf heaven.”
