On Monday, September 28th, participants nationwide were challenged with completing 100 holes of golf (walking) to raise money and awareness for Youth on Course, a non-profit organization providing youth with access to life-changing opportunities through golf. In Maryland, Sparrows Point Country Club generously hosted the event, free access to the golf course from sunup to sundown. The hikers had the luxury of playing the newly routed 18-hole course for their 5+ rounds of golf. Four hikers took on the daunting task – James Hewatt, Josh Campbell, Juan Guillen and Kim Ferguson. Together the hikers have raised close to $12,000, which will directly benefit the MSGA’s 1,000+ Youth on Course members, guaranteeing that they will pay $5 or less to play over 1,400 courses nationwide.

The hikers walked close to 30 miles in under 12 hours and finished their 100th hole with a beautiful double rainbow in the sky. MSGA staff, Sparrows Point members, and spectators encouraged the hikers throughout the day, keeping them hydrated, fed, and motivated.

Donations can be made through November by visiting the Hundred Hole Hike page. Simply select a team member, click the donate button, and complete the form. All donations are tax deductible.
