The Mixed Two-Ball Championship was held at Oak Creek Golf Course on August 6th and the weather was a Maryland classic hot, humid August summer day.
The golf course was in great condition and the scores were very impressive. There were six teams at the top of the leaderboard within three shots of each other. Bill Cammarata and Hilary Lawson were in the club house with an even par 72 and waited to see if their score would hold up. They were the Low Gross Championship Flight winners by two shots, finishing strong with birdies on holes 15, 16, and 17. Marlies Empey and Mike Lepore were the Senior Division winners with a gross score of 75.
Next years’ Mixed Two Ball will be held at Queenstown Harbor’s River Course.
