Hello! My name is Nick Logue, and I’m thrilled to be joining the MSGA team as a Tournament Manager. I’m a proud lifelong Marylander from Bowleys Quarters. In May 2024, I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Sport and Entertainment Management.

For those who don’t know me, this isn’t my first experience with the MSGA. I previously served as a Tournament Operations Intern in the summer of 2022 and as a P.J. Boatwright Intern in the summer of 2023. Following those roles, I gained valuable experience as a long-term Championship Intern with the USGA.

Returning to the MSGA feels like coming home, and I couldn’t be more excited to contribute to the future of golf in Maryland!

Why were you interested in the MSGA?

I am excited about the opportunity to join the MSGA because, during my two summers working here, I developed strong relationships and truly felt a sense of belonging. The experience reinforced my passion for the game, and I believe that contributing to the growth of golf in Maryland through the MSGA would be incredibly meaningful to me. The Tournament Manager role presents the ideal opportunity to launch my professional career in the golf industry and continue growing the sport I love.

What do you like to do when you are not working?

When I’m not working, you’ll often find me out on the water—whether relaxing at the beach or cruising on the bay; I love the calm and beauty of being near the water. I also enjoy spending time on the course and playing golf with friends and family. Another thing I love is hanging out with my girlfriend, who lives in Hilton Head, SC. Getting to visit Hilton Head is always nice! And, of course, I’m a passionate Ravens and Orioles fan—nothing beats cheering them on!

What are you most looking forward to during your first season?

During my first season with the MSGA, I’m eager to immerse myself in the opportunities this role offers. I’m especially excited to work hands-on with the setup of the beautiful courses Maryland has to offer. Taking on the responsibility of running championships is another aspect I’m looking forward to, as it allows me to oversee events from start to finish and create memorable experiences for players. Lastly, I’m excited to build relationships with players, club staff, and volunteers.
