St. Michaels, MD – The 64th Maryland Four-Ball Championship held at the picturesque Links at Perry Cabin displayed some great golf. Benjamin Warnquist and Andrew Mlynarski, from Manor Country Club and The Links at Perry Cabin, clinched victory on the second playoff hole against the duo of Ryan Richardson and Sean Flanigan from Bulle Rock Golf Course. Both teams shot a 7-under-par 65, with Warnquist+Mlynarski being the first group out and Richardson/Flanigan being the last group out.

After finishing, both groups headed to the first tee to determine the winner. After three of the four tee shots hit the fairway, all players stuck it on the green to give themselves a birdie look. Flanigan had the longest putt, about 30 feet, and drained it. Now it was up to Warnquist or Mlynarski to sink their birdie putts. After Warnquist missed his attempt, Mlynarski sunk his 4-footer to move on to the next hole. The players moved to the 17th tee, an island green par 3 similar to the 17th hole at TPC Sawgrass. Warnquist and Mlynarski went first, and both players stuck their shots close, with Warnquist almost making a hole-in-one. Richardson and Flanigan hit their tee shots, one right of the pin and the other left of it. After the duo missed their birdie putts, Warnquist and Mlynarski had a chance to win. Mlynarski hit his putt and left it hanging over the edge of the cup. However, as good teammates do, Warnquist sunk his three-foot birdie putt to seal the victory.

Tied for third place featured several talented duos, as three teams posted a 6-under-par 66. Kyle Carranza and Brady Jameson from Breton Bay Golf & Country Club, joined by the duo of Patrick McCormick and Ryan McCarthy from Argyle Country Club and Harrison Smith and Evan Tengwall from Prospect Bay Country Club, added their names to the list.

The defending champions, Aaron Williams and Tanner Briele from Woodholme Country Club fought valiantly to retain their title, carding an impressive 5-under-par 67.

The success of the 64th Maryland Four-Ball Championship would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of many. We want to thank John Mlynarski and The Links at Perry Cabin staff.
