The 26th Two Woman Team Championship was played at Fountain Head Country Club in Hagerstown, Maryland. Most of the players said it was worth the long drive to Fountain Head. The comments we received included: “the course was beautiful”, “it was challenging but fun to play, and the professional golf management staff were phenomenal”.
This year’s tournament was fielded by only 7 teams. The champions were Elisabeth Herzfeld Rice of Clustered Spires Golf Club and Lora Fioretti of Hunt Valley Country Club. This was the first time Elisabeth and Lora played together and they scored an impressive 73. This was Lora’s first time entering the Two Woman Team Championship and Elisabeth’s second win! Elisabeth previous won with partner Anita Venner in 2016 when the event was held at Greystone Golf Course.
Soo Ja Chu of University of Maryland and her partner Oksun Kim of Waverly Woods came in close at 78 and were the championship runner-up team.
