Additionally, the Maryland Amateur runner-up will gain entry into the U.S. Amateur Final Qualifying.

Several other MSGA events will also provide coveted USGA exemptions. The Maryland Girls’ Junior Amateur champion will secure a spot in the U.S. Girls’ Junior, set to take place at Atlanta Athletic Club. On the senior circuit, the Maryland Senior Amateur and Maryland Senior Open champions will advance to Final Qualifying for the U.S. Senior Open, now part of a two-tier qualifying system.

“We are thrilled to see our State Champions recognized on the national stage,” said Elisa Hermes, MSGA Director of Rules and Competitions. “The inclusion of exemptions for both the Women’s Amateur and Girls’ Junior reflects the growing strength of women’s golf in Maryland and the D.C. area. This achievement is a testament to the hard work of the MSGA and the talent of our players.”
