On the very hot day of Tuesday, September 5th, six determined individuals teed off at 6:20am to support Youth On Course (YOC) Maryland by playing 100 holes of golf at The Suburban Club, walking, in one day. Among them were Dalton Deardorff and Dante Frederico, Co-Hosts of “Wonderful Walks in Golf” podcast, along with Will Fisher, Luke Weierbach, Nicholas Berault, and Alex Cameron.
The sun was scorching, but they came hydrated and with a strong will to finish what they started. They golfed from sunrise to sunset, supporting and encouraging one another along the way. A special moment happened when Dalton Deardorff got a hole-in-one on the 81st hole, par 3 number thirteen. It was a big achievement that boosted their spirits. Despite the intense weather and the challenge of playing 100 holes, they didn’t give up. They stuck together and completed their 100 Hole Hike successfully thirteen hours later, just after 7pm.
This incredible effort not only showed their love for golf but also their commitment to supporting YOC Maryland. Dalton Deardorff, Dante Frederico, Will Fisher, Luke Weierbach, Nicholas Berault, and Alex Cameron proved that with hard work and a shared goal, they could make a big difference in young golfers’ lives. Their 100 Hole Hike will be remembered as a great example of teamwork and dedication for a good cause.
To thank our hikers for their selflessness, you can still show your support by making a donation to their hiker page, which will directly benefit YOC Maryland. Donations will be accepted through November. Click Here To Donate To Youth On Course.
