The 50th Women’s Senior Championship was held at Woodholme Country Club in Pikesville, MD on October 15th and 16th, after being rescheduled from September 17th and 18th due to Hurricane Florence. A field of 33 women competed in the two day championship on a 5,500 yard par 73 course, battling periods of heavy rain on Monday, and temperatures in the 50’s on Tuesday. Andrea Kraus of Hayfields Country Club was our champion, carding 4 birdies and a two day total of 153 (78-75). Sally Ratcliffe, the 2017 champion, was runner-up with a two day total of 170 (88-82), edging out Kimbra Benson by a matching of cards.
Three 70+ seniors competed in a one day competition on Tuesday, on a 5,066 yard par 73 course. Maggie Brady won low gross with an 88, and Joellen Youngblud was the low net winner with an 81.
