A steady 4-under-par 68 helped 2019 Maryland Open Champion Davis Lamb earn his first Korn Ferry Tour victory at the Club Car Championship at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club in Savannah, Georgia.
Entering the final round in third place, Lamb was grouped in the final pairing with John Pak and Blades Brown and got off to a strong start with a birdie on the par-4, 392-yard opening hole. With additional birdies on Nos. 8, 14, and 18, Lamb kept a clean card while Pak and Brown were unable to keep pace down the stretch.
After the round, Lamb was asked about the most difficult part of his journey to his first Korn Ferry Tour victory. “Trusting yourself. I know I am good enough to win… to get the validation is unbelievable,” he said. With the win, along with three additional top-25 finishes earlier this season, the Potomac native now sits third on the Korn Ferry Tour points list.
