The Maryland State Golf Association announces that Kellon (Kelly) Newland, PGA has accepted the position of Director of Rules & Competitions for the MSGA. Kelly is replacing Randy Reed, who will be directing his attention and duties to both the Washington Metropolitan Golf Association and the Middle Atlantic Golf Association. Kelly will begin his service on January 15, 2015, and comes to the MSGA from Golf House Kentucky, where he was the Director of the Junior and Senior Competitions for the past three years. He is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University with a B.S. in Business Administration PGA Golf Management. At Golf House Kentucky he worked for both the PGA section and the Kentucky State Golf Association, which are under one organization. His golf administration career began in 2006, and he has worked local as well as national competitions.
