Hagerstown, Md. – The Maryland State Golf Association hosted the 2026 Maryland Women’s Shamble on Thursday, June 18, at Fountain Head Country Club. Following a one-hour, 45-minute weather delay, the event got underway at 10:45 a.m. with tee times.
Despite the challenging conditions, the team of Cathy Ayoob, Deborah Andrew, Lisa Lisko, and Deborah Martin posted an even-par 72 to earn low gross honors.
The team of Amy Gates, Karen Henry, and Pamela Buckley claimed net honors after a tiebreaker, finishing at six-under-par 66. The tie was broken using the USGA-recommended method for determining a winner when a playoff is not feasible, as outlined in Committee Procedures 5A(6) of the Official Guide to the Rules of Golf.
The MSGA would like to thank the staff and members of Fountain Head Country Club for their hospitality in hosting this MSGA event.
