Clint Sanchez Interview | USGA Press Release

On October 15, the United States Golf Association (USGA) awarded the IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility) Grant to First Tee – Greater Washington D.C. and 27 other First Tee chapters. This initiative, part of the ongoing partnership between USGA and First Tee, is designed to level the playing field for young golfers by providing structured programs, course access, and mentorship, all of which help break down the barriers many young people face in entering the sport. Together, USGA and First Tee are bringing golf’s enriching experiences to a broader and more diverse junior audience, engaging one of the sport’s fastest-growing demographics. Serving nearly 200,000 young people annually across Maryland, Washington D.C., and Northern Virginia, the First Tee – Greater Washington D.C. is focused on revitalizing the Rock Creek Golf Course—a National Links Trust facility and Maryland State Golf Association (MSGA) member club—and expanding its programming to reach more local communities.
