The 2022 Two-Woman Team Championship and the Two-Woman Mid-Handicap Team Championship were held at Argyle Country Club in Silver Spring, Maryland, on September 8, 2022. A different venue was initially scheduled for the Two-Woman Team Championship and Two-Woman Mid-Handicap Championship. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the event was held at Argyle Country Club. Both championships were played in a Four-Ball stroke play format. The Mid-Handicap Championship is for teams with a combined handicap of 30.1 and above.

Despite the heavy rain in the area for two days before the tournament, Argyle Country Club was in excellent condition. The course played a bit longer than the 5,744 yards, par 73 it was set for. The Mid-Handicap Championship was set to play 5,346 yards and a par of 71.

Kimbra Benson and Renee Hatcher won the Two-Woman Championship from Bretton Bay Golf and Country Club after defeating Denise Cooper from Winters Run Golf Club and Katie Wille from Maryland Golf & Country Club in a sudden-death playoff. On the front nine, Benson shot a 41, including six pars, one bogey, and one double bogey. At the same time, Hatcher shot a 42 with five pars, three bogeys, and one double bogey. They both recorded their double bogeys on the same hole, hole nine. On the back nine, they both seemed to have a better go at it, especially Kimbra Benson, as she shot two under par with five pars, three birdies, and one bogey. The pair’s gross score after the eighteen holes was 74, tying their competitors and forcing the playoff.

The runners-up, Cooper and Wille, recorded a 39 on the front nine with two birdies, five pars, and two bogeys. On the back nine, they shot one-under par at 35 with three birdies, four pars, and two bogeys, ending the first eighteen holes with a score of 74, and met Kimbra Benson and Renee Hatcher in the playoff.

For the playoff, the first and eighteenth holes were selected as they are adjacent to each other at Argyle and have a similar level of difficulty. Hole number one played as a downhill par four at 373 yards for the Two-Woman Championship, and hole number eighteen was an uphill par five at 403 yards.

On the playoff hole, both teams tied the hole with bogeys. Both players were dead set on ending it there on the second hole. Both Benson and Hatcher were in a position to putt for birdie. Unfortunately, Benson missed her attempt, but Hatcher sank her putt to win the title.

The Mid-Handicap Championship was won by Mary Kay Mosch and Tisha McCoy with a score of 86. After shooting a 47 on the front 9, the team recovered by shooting a 39 on the back to win the championship by five strokes. The runners-up were Maggie Whall and Amy Walker from the host club Argyle. JoAnn Moreland from Oak Creek Club and Susan Wagner from Enterprise Golf Club were net winners.  The team had a net score of 72.
