The 11th Mid-Atlantic Junior invitational was held at The Resort at Glade Springs in West Virginia. The weather was the biggest problem for the juniors this weekend as Saturday was cold and dry while Sunday’s rain shortened the event just to 18 holes.
After Saturday’s round, Virginia was leading by eight shots with Maryland right behind them. Ryan Moylan posted a great round of five under (67) to earn individual medalist honors. Virginia’s Bryan Lee shot a two under par round to finish second while Connor McGarrity and Virginia’s Charlie Kennedy tied for third at 74.
With the event being only 18 holes because of Sunday’s rain out Virginia won with a 449, Maryland right behind them with a 457 and West Virginia at 469. With this year’s win, Virginia has now won six Mid-Atlantic Junior Invitational events in a row.
