The 4-Lady Invitational golf tournament was held on Thursday, August 8, 2019, at Argyle Country Club. A field of 88 golfers competed in this annual event to benefit the Junior Girls Program. A highlight of the day was having four junior girls hit shots that players could use or try to better. Faith Choi and Bailey Davis hit drives for all teams on the par 4, 369-yard uphill 9th hole, while Elizabeth Tucci and Paige Warren played tee shots to the green on the par 3, 154-yard uphill 13th hole. The players admired the shots made by the girls, and were glad to have help for their team score.
Upon completion of play, everyone enjoyed the Tex Mex buffet. While lunch was underway the girls continued to sell 50/50 raffle tickets and tickets for 4 baskets of items which had started before the shotgun at 9:30. Susan Dorris had worked her magic to make the baskets very attractive. At the end of lunch half of the 50/50 raffle money was split four ways and four winners were drawn, winning $472 each. The 50/50 raffle winners were Deb Martin, Lucia Palacios, Rory Russell and Nancy Worthington.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to making this event a success and helping to raise money for our Juniors!
