Who is eligible for an MSGA One-Day event?
MSGA One-Day events are tournaments for men and women golfers of all ages and abilities. Cart and range fees are included, and net and gross prizes are awarded to the top finishers. Entry is open to any amateur golfer who has a current USGA handicap index at an MSGA member club, and also to non-members for an increased fee (non-members are not eligible for prizes). One-Day event formats change from tournament to tournament and include four-ball stroke play, four-ball stroke play with Stableford scoring, and chapman/pinehurst.
Divisions are based on gender and yardage with the following options:
Men’s – Back: 6100-6500 yards
Men’s – Forward: 5700-6100
Mixed: Men 5700-6100/Women 5100-5500
Women’s: 5100-5500

Can I make tee time and pairing requests?
All tee time and pairings requests must be requested during the registration process. Requests will be granted to the best of our ability.
What happens when there is a tie?
Ties will be broken by the USGA method of matching scorecards, which is determined by using last 9, last 6, last 3, then last hole.
Will there always be gross and net prizes for each division?
If there are less than 3 teams in a division, only First Place Net will be awarded. The Mixed and Women’s Divisions may be combined if there are fewer than four teams in either division.
If I need to withdraw from an event, what is the refund policy?
The refund policy is the same for One-Day events as it is for MSGA championships.
Open to close date: Full refund minus $25.00 administrative fee.
Day after close up to day prior of the event: No refund if withdrawal received less than seven days prior to event without written medical excuse.
If you need to withdraw from a One-Day event, please contact Kevin Crowley Jr. at 410-653-5300 x 203 or kcrowley@msga.org to transfer.
How do I retrieve my login information?
You must create a Golf Genius account through the MSGA’s registration form to compete in any MSGA events. You will need to enter your GHIN number and last name to begin the registration process. This account is not linked or affiliated with your GHIN Digital Profile.
The login credentials you previously used for tournament registration through GolfNet will no longer be valid. The new process is mobile-friendly and makes it easier to register for events on the go.
Utilizing USGA Tournament Management Software powered by Golf Genius for event registration allows MSGA to provide comprehensive functionality and support for our membership. If you have not created your Player Profile, please click here.
For assistance with creating your profile, contact MSGA at 410-653-5300 or via email at ehermes@msga.org.

Are partner substitutions permitted?
